Borderline Crazy
By Bill Colgate

She was borderline crazy
Always on the road to who knows where
A bona fide believer in castles in the air
A little bit lazy
A little bit higher than a kite
A little bit o' her my friend was a whole lot of alright

I had that dream of Monterey and the drive out to Carmel
And all the games that we would play and how she cast her spell
And how I knew her better than a man could ever know
And how I never saw it comin' when she said she had to go

She was borderline crazy
Always on the road from here to there
One foot on the landing the other on the stair
A little bit hazy
A little bit illuminating light
A little bit o' her my friend was a whole lot of alright

Windows are for gazing
A look into the soul
It's more than just amazing how I fell
It's how I keep on drawing from that well

From a well defended border to a line drawn in the sand
The only time she'd take a break is when she'd take a stand
And the only song she ever knew was " Time For Movin' On "
And the only thing for certain was that someday she'd be gone
