Too Hot Knot
By Bill Colgate
Well she lifted up her hand 'n' drew it through her hair
Said " I don't know much 'cept I know I don't care
In my life my philosophy is to do it unto them before they're doin' it to me "
O the sky did rip as my glass did tip 'round and 'round
She was too hot not, too hot not, too hot not
To cool down
Ella sings Cole Porter was playin' on the stereo
She said " Who the hell is that? I never heard that shit before "
I said " That is a lyric and there's a melody "
She said " Whatever did I do to you? Why are you doin' this to me ? "
O my sail went whack as my boat did tack 'round and 'round
She was too hot not, too hot not, too hot not
To cool down
So I leaned to the left I leaned to the right
Tried to stand my ground with all o' my might
But the house kept rockin' the room kept spinnin'
My knees kept knockin' my face kept grinnin'
I felt like a fool I tell ya
I took another log I threw it on the fire
I started to sweat she didn't even perspire
She said "Your turn baby the ball's in your court
Or is that a white flag flyin' from the top o' your fort?"
O the scales did fall as she bounced my ball up and down
She was too hot not, too hot not, too hot not
To cool down
